Check out the winning clip of this years SKATE48 film contest featuring the likes of Dirk Middelkoop, Robert Joosten and our own Dennie Brielle. The entire think is filmed by Marc Bolhuis and looks pretty sweet for a 2 day filming mission. Chapeau guys!
All hail the new pool and join the festivities next saturday (sept 1st) at the heemraadssingel in Rotterdam for some good ol’ shredding and hanging out with friends and like minded peeps. See you there! (no excuses).
While rummaging the internet for whatnot I stumbled on some old footage from Dennie in Barcelona. Pre-Dufarge days. Spot the ‘Ricky Oyola wouldn’t approve’ fakie out and pushing mongo line…
Oh, and skip the freestylin’ to about a minute if you’re keen to see the actual skating.
To honour the completion of the first outdoor pool here in Rotterdam Dufarge teams up with the initiators of this concrete beauty for the official launch on september 1st. There will be a contest, bbq, drinks and music and around 8 we’ll haul our tired selfs to the Tiki bar for some live music and even more drinks.
For this event we designed a special board that will be sold on the day of the event. there are only a limited amount of these nuggets made (including a few oldskool poolshapes) so be quick. Even better, enter the contest and win one of these damned things!
Curious to see what it looks like? Patience, my friend, patience…

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]A nice work out for the friday morning: we owed our homie Saïd a complete Dufarge cruiser as a thank you present for his time here at headquarters. To jazz things up we thought we’d give him a special ‘moroccan’ grip-job to pay homage to his roots.
It took a bit longer than expected to finish the damn thing but it came out better than expected and look at him all smiles!
Makes your heart sing…[/twocol_one_last]
[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]This sunday, we will have our own Dufarge pop up shop at the Street Science Festival Very Fair. We will be selling our shirts, decks, posters and more…
Feel free to drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood!

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]Last wednesday we visited the concrete waves on the (to be finished) Maasvlakte 2 highway with a good crew of people to film some footie, shoot some photos and skate those crazy vert trannies (too steep for me I stuck to no-complys on flat). One of the cameras we brought is a Nishika N8000 that makes the craziest leniticular photos. Put together in photoshop it gives you this kind of magic.[/twocol_one_last]
[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]Last friday our friend Rinke dropped by with some prototype boards we are working on. Inspired by his amazing wood crafting skills and the small yellow plastic boards we used to skate when we were little we are designing a new board and it is starting to look pretty sweet. Made of ash, walnut and one other kind of wood I forgot the name of these puppies are going to turn out high class.
We’re also goofing around with an oldskool kicktail. More pics will follow once we figure out what to do for grip, graphics, wheels, etc. Suggestions are welcome… Oh, and if you’re in need of a table, cabinet, a set of stairs or something totally left field contact Rinke, he can build you anything: Bink Meubel.[/twocol_one_last]
While we use our Dufarge cruiser for getting for a to b our good pal Kasper shows us that it is in fact a high-tech modern day trick machine. Nice line at last Saturdays Skateland contest at Skate Plaza in Rotterdam.
[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]While rummaging through some photos I took last summer I came across this one of Dennie, our new rider, at Skateplaza in Rotterdam Zuid. I really didn’t know the guy back then but I liked his style, the tricks he did and the fact he was skating like a mad man. He had been trying a certain line for a while and just when I pulled out my ghetto Lomo fisheye he nailed it. Kickflip up a curb, backside 180 ollie and switch backside 180 off the bank thingie to flat. Steez![/twocol_one_last]
